When her first daughter, Teri Louise ’65, was born in 1943, Louise Walker McCannel (1915–2012), who became a noted philanthropist in Minneapolis, chronicled for five years her every laugh and cry in densely written entries in this baby book. She did the same for her daughters, Dana and Gail, who followed. Like many of the baby books in the Library’s collections, this one is as much about mother as baby.
